Rules of the card game Missions
MISSIONS is a cooperative card game played with 3 or 4 players. The goal of the game is to complete missions together. Each mission contains a required objective and an optional objective.

Cards and values - 4 players:
Missions is played with 40 playing cards. The cards have the following values: 5 through 10, jack, queen, king and ace.
Preparation
- Each player receives 10 cards.
- A random mission is selected for each round.
Missions
- A mission contains a required objective and an optional objective. The required objective determines whether a mission succeeds.
- Missions may target a player (for example: player X wins a specific trick), a card (for example: the ace of hearts must be lost) or a trick (for example: the last trick must be won).
- Some missions assign a trump suit.
- Depending on the mission, a hint may be given before the game begins.
Gameplay
- The player to the left of the dealer leads the first trick by playing a card.
- The other players must play a card of the same suit (hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs) whenever possible.
- If a player does not have a card of the required suit, they may play a card of another suit.
- Once all players have played a card, the winner of the trick is the player with the highest card of the led suit. If a trump suit is active for the round, any trump card beats cards of the other suits.
- The winner of the trick leads the next trick.
Mission Check
- After each trick, it can be checked whether the mission is still achievable. Some objectives are only evaluated at the end of the round (for example: who wins the last trick).
- If all objectives have been completed at the end of a trick, the round ends automatically.
Scoring
- Each objective awards a fixed number of points.
- If the required objective is not completed, the mission awards no points (including any successfully completed optional objective).
- Optional objectives usually award fewer points.
End of the game
- The game consists of 10 missions by default. This number can be adjusted.
- The total score is added to the ranking.
Variations
- The number of missions can be adjusted.
